1969 Ford Mustang Convertible

Title: 1969 Convertible Mustang with Shaker Hood
Mileage: 53,432 miles
Location: Rockton, IL.

1969 Convertible Mustang with true Shaker Hood. This rebuilt 302 engine runs and sounds great with a throaty rumble from it's headers and dual chrome exhaust tips. Black vinyl top is in great condition and convertible motors runs. Wimbledon White paint code has few spider cracks and is in overall good condition. Black bucket sets in great shape and black carpet in good shape with spot hidden by change/cup holder. Wood steering wheel was replaced and still have original steering wheel if desired. Lights inside and outside working with exception of right inside blinker.
Frame is clean and straight. Has original solid floor pans, original engine compartment and all quarter panels. Lower back of rear quarter panels show weld marks on inside of the trunk area, cannot tell from outside. Trunk area and typical mustang rust areas are in great shape and very clean. Drivers door was replaced with fastback door ( window does not roll well and should be secured better). All other window roll nicely and in good condition. Window seal areas are cracking and could be replaced. Hood was altered to support Shaker Hood Scoop. Aftermarket trunk was put on the car.
Rebuilt 302 engine was a factory 3 speed, now Hurst four speed shifter. Can't tell if 302 engine was original but engine compartment area including original radiator suggest it could be. Engine runs like a deer and new clutch ( less than 500 miles) pulls very strongly.

Still has Wimbledon White paint, car from factory had light blue kiwi bucket seats, now black bucket seats. Had AM radio, now Mustang radio/tape player. Had three speed, now 4 speed hurst shifter. Air conditioning unit has been removed and emergency brake disconnected. Factory car was ordered with wire wheel covers, now chrome mag rims. The odometer and speed odometer are not hooked up so I can't say what the true milage is, but show 53,432.
I have owned this car for over 7 years and drive is less than 1,000 miles annually. It has been stored in a heated and clean environment. I have never taken this car out in the winter or early spring months. This Mustang has been well maintained and in good condition. The clutch is less than one year old and starter was replaced this summer. In the seven years I have had the brakes completly redone twice, but the nature of 69 braking systems make this car difficult to stop. This car is a great car to drive and enjoy. It's a very rare car and in good condition, but not perfect and not show ready. The engine is very powerful and the car handles well.
